Say Hello To My Little Film: Episode 115 - Certain Women

In this week's episode, Rob tries to win Ray over by taking a tonal left turn from his previous pick by recommending Kelly Reichardt's 2016 classic CERTAIN WOMEN. This quiet and meditative journey through the lives of four Montana women features the screen debut of Lily Gladstone (KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON, RESERVATION DOGS), as well as Laura Dern (BLUE VELVET, JURASSIC PARK), Michelle Williams (WENDY AND LUCY, BLUE VALENTINE) and Kristen Stewart (ADVENTURELAND, CLOUDS OF SILS MARIA). Each vignette (adapted from the short stories of Maile Malloy) explores the pitfalls of relationships, human interaction and the human need to be seen and lends itself perfectly to the bucolic style that Reichardt has become known for.
