Hello Movies, My Old Friend: Episode 106 - Leap of Faith

It's another month here at HELLO MOVIES, MY OLD FRIEND on the CAR RAYROB PODCAST NETWORK! For this episode, Ray and Rob jump in the way back machine to revisit the 1992 Steve Martin comedy LEAP OF FAITH. The film centers on Jonas Nightengale (Martin), a slick traveling evangelist and a blatant con man. With the help of a cadre of collaborators, including his manager and friend Jane Larson (played by the impeccable Debra Winger), Jonas sets up shop in a down on its luck town in Kansas to deliver some of his patented showmanship in the hopes of separating the desperate from their money. Buttressed by supporting performances by Liam Neeson (TAKEN, LOVE ACTUALLY), Lolita Davidovitch (RAISING CAIN, GODS AND MONSTERS) and Lukas Haas (WITNESS, MARS ATTACKS), this comedy seeks to answer the question if faith can heal all things. 

Will the overt religious overtones prove too much for the adult Ray and Rob? Or will Steve Martin's eternal charm give them the same feelings they remember so fondly? Tune in this week to find out!
